Ankit Dabas's Aggressive Shot Selection - Delhi Premier League Final
Delhi Premier League 2026 Final, South Delhi Superstarz vs Central Delhi Kings, Arun Jaitley Stadium, August 31, 2026
Coaching Breakdown
Ankit Dabas demonstrated intelligent and aggressive shot selection under pressure, scoring an unbeaten 61 off just 33 balls in the DPL final.
He identified scoring opportunities early, committing fully to his shots with clear intent and powerful striking.
This decisive approach minimizes indecision and maximizes the chances of clearing the infield or finding the boundary. Junior players should work on reading the bowler's hand and length quickly to make confident shot choices.
Today's Training Drill
Practice 'decision-making drills' where a coach throws different lengths and lines, and the batsman must quickly decide and execute the appropriate shot within a limited timeframe.
