India in New Zealand, 5 T20I Series, 1st T20I, Hagley Oval, Christchurch, October 22, 2026
Coaching Breakdown
Sanju Samson displayed exceptional shot selection and power-hitting, particularly through his ability to pick lengths early and commit fully to his strokes.
His strong base and transfer of weight into the ball allowed him to generate immense bat speed, clearing the boundaries with ease.
Junior players should focus on developing a stable batting stance and practicing hitting through the line of the ball, ensuring their head remains still and eyes are on the point of contact.
Today's Training Drill
Practice shadow batting with a focus on a strong, balanced stance and a full follow-through, visualizing hitting the ball to different parts of the ground.
